J Plus Selected Short Subjects Reception And Dance Honors Mr. And Mrs.' Vernon Teeter, Saturday reception and dance at th Grouse Creek ward amusement nail Saiutday evening honored Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Teeter who were recently married. The bride is the former Audrey Tanner. Receiving the guests at the door were the bride and groom; the matron of honor, Mrs. Mai-jonThompson; the best man, Hughie Thompson; the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Tanner and the grooms parents, Mr. and Mis Roy Teeter of Yost, Utah Mrs Teeter chose a white slipper satin gown fashioned with sleeves, tight long pointed bodice with a silk net overskirt trimmed in dainty silk lace. Her silk net, lace trimmed finger-lengtveil fell from an arrangement of orange blossoms. The gifts w'ere in charge of Merle Tanner, Shirley Tanner and Carolyn Kimber. Serving refreshments from a large bowl flanked on either side by burning tapers were Mrs. Herb Tan ner and Mrs Hughie Thompson. Vocal solos were sung during the evening by Lyman Kimber. The bride and groom, who are making their home at Yost, received many useful gifts from friends who were present from Almo, Idaho, Yost, Park Valley and Montello, Nevada. A e h K. E. Kenneth Weight, Jr., recently returned missionary from the Argentina mission field was the featuied speaker at the Sunday .sacrament meeting in the Sixth ward, Sunday evening. The meeting, which was under the direction of Homer Tin-gewas opened with the congregation singing Redeemer of Israel." The opening prayer was offered toy Lester Barker and the sacrament song was O Lord of Hosts. The sacrament was taken care of toy Wesley 'Barlow and Dee Anderson assisted by the deacons. Bonnie Olson gave a short talk on "SHafvest. Betty Olson, another teenager and a twin to Bonnie, gave a short talk oh The Responsibilities of the Parents." Joyce and Joan Isaacson played an accordion duet, titled Whispering Hope." and "The Spirit of God. The closing prayer was offered by Henry Drewes. Mrs. Ray Valentine Has Cheerful Club As Guests Owen Shaw Leaves To Attend Florida School Owen Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy T. Shaw left Brigham City this week for Tallahassee, Florida, where he will attend the Florida State university. His brother, R T. Shaw is a professor in the school of business at Tallahassee. First Ward Holds, Opening M.I.A. Social The Brigham City First ward held their opening CM. L A. social last Tuesday night. A large crowd attended. Those on the program were Dixie Gordon, Virginia , Wilde, Lynette 'Anderson, Belva Anderson, Barbara Hamtoerlin and Bunny Reeser After the program and the theme were given, Jerry Wilde said the closing prayer.
