O A THE ISSUE OF BONDS ) VOTE FOR ALL THREE PROPOSALS HERE ARE SOME GOOD POINTS TO CONSIDER: for the proposals we will be reserving open space and recreation for future generations as well as for ourselves, now. ft By voting ft With the gas shortage becoming real, and gas rationing a possibility for years to come, more pressure than ever will be put on our parks, tennis courts, golf course and ball fields. A vote YES will help guarantee we can handle it. ft ft The lights at the Rees Pioneer Park baseball diamond are inadequate and the poles dangerously deteriorated. New lights are included in the bond. If you think the Pony league baseball program, the American Legion baseball program, and the Peaches baseball programs are good, you should 'vote for on the bond election. All of these programs use the lights as well as the city football league and softball teams later in the season. People who send their children to the many parks to play and participate in the parks program will be happy to know that money to build restrooms and drinking facilities at all the parks, which don't have City-sponsor- ! ft ! I I ft ft ! ft .- The bond election is for $300,000. But the federal government will pay This is federal money which will go for for nearly half or $146,044 . some project in another city if we don't use it. If you have children in this program or think it is a good program for our youth, be sure to vote Tuesday and vote FOR the issuance of bonds. them, are included in the bond, if it passes. Some Brigham City parks have minimal playground equipment, money is included in the bond to buy this equipment, that is, if citizens give it a yes vote. There is plenty of future tax money to pay off the bond. The new one half cent sales tax increase and the new garbage collection fee give the city enough extra future revenue to pay off the bond without any additional tax increase. Plus if it passes, the city fathers have indicated they would raise golf fees enough to make that facility Ask yourself why Brigham City is such a good place to live? Many people who move and visit here are absolutely amazed at our fine recreation programs. These programs have brought our city more praise from visitors as well as residents than any other single factor.
