Show Age Group Meet Proves Popular Some 100 persons competed in Brigham Citys first age group track meet of the season at Box Elder High school Wednesday, including a couple of standouts from Utah State university and others from Weber High and Salt Lake City. The event was staged as part of the citys summer recreation program and was under the direction of Les Dunn, recreation director. Ribbons went to the top three performers in each race and field test. Dunn said the next age group track contest is scheduled July 21 and will be open to all interested persons. Here is a list of the games. The high-flyin- g kayoed the Mantua Hillbilly kittens 12 to 1 with Leah Gale credited as the winning pitcher. Jeri Hupp blasted out two triples and tallied up 3 runs for as Nettie Salmon the tagged a double for the winning team. In further action, the Humbugs unloaded to stop the Hit n Mrs. 17 to 7. It was a tight game until the fifth inning, when the Bugs opened up with 8 runs. Pattie Jensen was credited with the win for the Bugs.
