Mrs. Norma Butler, president, presided. The time was turned over to Mrs. LaRene W.. Lowe who presented a book review from the recent book, Mary Lincoln" by Ruth Painter Randall. This book probably reveals for the first time the true picture of Lincoln's marriage. It also explodes the legend that Abraham Lincoln lost his heart to Ann Rutledge. There is strong evidence in the way of personal letters to indicate that Ann Rutledge was a friend and that the only woman Abraham Lincoln ever loved with all his heart was his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. Special guests of the Xi Alpha chapter for the evening were: Miss Ruth Bradford, Mrs. Estelle W. Maero. Honeyviile; Mrs. Elizabeth Sederholm, Brigham City; Mrs. Gladys Wheatley, Honeyviile, and Mrs. Florence N. Morrell. Brigham City. Mrs. LaRene W. Lowe came from Franklin, Idaho to give the review.
