Baty pitched the first five innings allowing a hit in the first' and second innings and that was the extent of the losers efforts at the plate. Davis came on to pitch the last two innings and got by with facing seven men. Davis allowed one walk in the sixth inning after two were away and left the runner stranded on first base. An error in the seventh inning put another runner on base but a double play which went from Roland Holman to Mack Watkins to (Anderson or short to second to first, retired the side and ended the game. Both teams were scoreless in the first inning but the Brigham City boys broke the ice in the top of the second inning. Earl Nielsen opened the inning and was safe on an error. Baird forced Nielsen on a fielders choice and Poulsen thumped a three bagger to drive Baird across the plate. Wayne (Hunsaker was walked and Baty Morrison hit into a fielders choice forcing Baty while Poulsen scored. I A pair of runs were scored in the top of the third and a single counter in the fourth bought the count to 5 to 0 in favor of the Brigham City team. A five run outburst which iced the game came for Brigham City in the top of the fifth and the final out was made with the bases loaded, so the damage could have been worse. The locals needed one more run to close the game at the end of the First half standing: TO FIGHT oewMASTFFS Ore THE ISLES BY CAffSAR M SS B.C.
