Sixth graders share essays on what they lilted best about school by Arlene Holden Last Friday was the last day of school for the summer. It was also the last day for the sixth grade graduates to be at Willard as students. As an exercise Mr. Evans and Mrs. Childs had the boys and girls write a short essay on what they like best about graduating. Id like to share some of their comments. Todd Baumann says: I like to graduate because after six years in the same old school it isnt much fun. Michelle Ashton wrote: I must admit I am not trying very hard now but it will be an challenge, next year. Jamie Beames and John Barney say that graddoateing the sixth grade is just great. Susann Chambers wisely said, Of course there is always a good and a bad part. Along with Shelley OToole most of the children said but I will miss Mrs. Childs and Mr. Evans. Both Lynette Widdison and Julie Facer are looking forward to the bus ride to Brigham City each day. Denton Gordon can hardly wait, to go to the Snack for candy and other things. Diane Harding and Carey are both excited about going to JUNIOR HIGH. Wil-kers- Moving On Cris Cox states I probably like the idea of moving on. Mike Grimes thinks it will be fun to be with friends I missed when they had to go to junior high. Rick Woodland says we will be finding alot of new friends." Laurie Scothern is looking forward to seeing my relitiver thats a teacher up there. And Carolyn Carlson, Ken Bonneau and Robert Lemon are all looking forward to having, Seven different teachers every hour. Susie Summers wants to go to junior high to learn more. Sharon Lemon thinks, You start growing up and knowing what its like to be a grownup. Bonnie Rutherford feels it makes me feel more grown up in some ways. Dawn Wetzel says "I like the idea of getting older. Jaci Black says shes glad to be graduating because I want to get older. Someone remember both these girls and in about 25 years remind them and well see how they feel then. Cathy Palmer puts into word the wistful thoughts, I want to go to Junior High school, but I dont get to go here any more. I think Ill miss it.
