When a smallpox epidemic decimated London in the 18th century, persons living near the coffee-roastin- g plants escaped the some-times-fun- look and sometimes-seriou- s at history from disease and medical authorities attributed this to the coffee's protective fumes. Later, cowboys in the American west took to coffee. too. They liked it black, strong and hot. The grounds and water often simmered for days over the campfire. To preserve the accumulated aroma, the large coffee pots never were their own perspective. In addition, each troop has studied the special culture of a ''section of the United States and lias learned a dance or song from that area for presentation in the second part of the show. They will also have display booths showing the culture which they represent. 100 Polyester 2-1- Dc3l!i8 Qissos 60f0o SOcsEig ' Patterns'- - washed. 100 2 t !
