Alvin has been serving in the Air Force for the past few years and now he has received the assignment of going to Thailand for a year. While he is over seas his family will live in Bountiful near Lindas folks. They will be visiting in West Corinne quite frequently until Alvin leaves April 30. Is Confirmed Denton Hatch, the son of Amos Hatch, was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS church this past weekend. The son of Maureen and Hall Nelson received a name and blessing from his father, Sunday, March 31. He was named Bart Jathan. The Paul Christiansen family have been living in their new home. Ron and Sue Wolff will soon be moving into the former Christiansen home. The boys of Corinne who are involved in wrestling know Wolff as coach. He is head wrestling coach at Box Elder High school. He also teaches history at Box Elder. The Wolff family consist of Mr. and Mrs. Wolff and two children. A third child is expected any day. They will be moving here from Harper Ward. They have lived in the Brigham City area for nearly a year now. Before this they lived in Florida. We are looking forward to their arrival. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are both originally from California, the Modesto area. They met in California and were married there. Grandparents are living in California and Oregon at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are member of the LDS church. In talking to the family about their hobbies I found them to have a large range of interests. The older children expressed their hobbies as follows: Mary, knitting; Peggy, cooking; and Gerald, reading and racing. Mrs. Thomas mentioned sewing and baking as hobbies she has out of necessity. From first hand I can testify that she bakes delicious home i. ade bread. She also makes her own butter. Mrs. Larry Butler and children Plymouth Ponderings and Mrs. Robert Haas. Sunday Mrs. Josephson accompanied them to Logan to visit Oleen Josephson who is receiving medical care at the LDS hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Josephson of Garland also visited with Oleen at the hospital. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Goddard of Malad. Dinner Guests Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garth Josephson Sunday were Mrs. Josephsons parents Mr. and Mrs. Willis Fryer of Logan. The occasion was both Garth and Loretas birthday anniversaries the week. Mr. and Mrs. during Newel Nish spent Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Don Nish and family in Bountiful. They also visited Mrs. Nishs brother Mark Goddard in Salt Lake City and her sister Mrs. Charlotte Koer who is receiving medical care in the St. Marks Hospital. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Udy Friday were Mrs. Phyllis Kunzler and twins Kerry and Kelly of Park Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Udy and daughter Stephanie of BC will specialists attend suicide school Brent Price, social worker, Intermountain school and Ken Kleven, health specialist, Mental Health district, both of Brigham City, will participate in a workshop on Suicide: Training in Prevention and Intertion April 11, at Utah State university. Potential suicide is usually detected by someone other than a mental health professional. "Therefore, Utah State has developed a workshop for persons likely to be faced with assisting a potential suicide, said Lucy Ascoli, instructor of sociology and chairperson for the workshop. Tremonton visited at the Udy home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nish and family of Bountiful spent Sunday and Monday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish. Sunday they were all dinner guests of Bishop and Mrs. Udell and Godfrey family in Clarkston. Chapter for blind schedules election Chapter 5 of the Utah Association for the Blind is sponsoring an annual election meeting April 11 at 2 p.m. in the Chamber of Commerce building in Logan. His main hobby is to train dogs. He says he can train them to do anything, but prefers training them to be work dogs, cattle, sheep, and police dogs. His dogs consist of a Great Pyrenees, a Pyrenees, and a Newfoundland; all of which are prized work dogs. Thomas is also a bee man. He plans on getting a swarm of bees and enjoy the rewards this summer. Thomas says he loves to read any good, informative book he can get his hands onto. Along with his hobbies, Thomas has the skills of mechanics, carpentry and cabinet making, which he puts to use should the worker for some NEW years.
