Show i Family Income Shows Increase in County, Analysis Study Reveals I t ' YOST REPORTS s f A nationwide NEW YORK study of income levels brings out the fact that there is now a greater proportion of families in Box Elder county in the higher income brackets than ever before. It shows, also, that a smaller proportion Is in the lower categories. This favorable situation is the result of steady advances made during a number of years. The gains have created bigger buying power and have benefitted business in general. The story is told In an analysis of incomes, released in a Sales copyrighted report by Management. It shows, for each community in the country, how many of its families are in each income group. In Box Elder county, 43.5 percent of the families now have 0 net incomes, after taxes, of or more a year. This marks an improvement over 1954, when only 39.2 percent had such earnings. Similar progress has been made locally in the other Income groupings. Some families that had been in the $4,000 to $7,000 bracket have graduated to the $7,000 to $10,000 class. Many who were once in the $2,500 to $4,000 category are now, happily, one step higher. $4,-00- ( ABOUT OUR HEW CHECKING SERVICE Father, Son Visit Doctor on Wednesday I i i We Invite you to call at this bank tomorrow to open a Thrifti-Chec- k account with any sum you I 25 find convenient. Its been a source of joy and satisfaction to me as well as a means of keeping abreast of Brigham Citys growth. Because of your generosity I wont feel as if ,1 were a stranger in my own home town upon my return. I have enjoyed my stay in Norway tremendously, not only because of an honest and friendly people, but also because of a country both beautiful and inspiring. The common thought of polar bears and snow drifts is a great injustice to Norway. This land has everything that beautiful Switzerland has, plus breathtaking fjords and the dazzling midnight sun. Often we hear of tourists wishing for a longer visit in order to see all that is offered. It is a shame such beauty is so little known. During my mission I have had the privilege of working in Oslo, Halden, Tnsberg, Haugesund, and Stavanger, all cities on the southern tip of Norway, Its been a wonderful privilege to work among the Norwegians, to learn their customs and mannerisms, a person cant help but learn to love them. Although I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and places, Ill always feel that Elg . Elder JOURNAL TT3 . The groups with incomes of 43.5 $4,000 and up, comprising percent of the families, take in 69.1 percent of the earnings. The overall effect of this rise in personal incomes is an increase in purchasing power. The degree to which the consumer chooses to exercise this power at any particular time, determines, to a large extent, the health of the economy then.
