The float - was designed by Professor Floyd Cornaby, Dean of the Art department at the Utah State Agricultural college, assisted by the following committee members; Kenneth and Delmar Braegger, Margene Thelma Hansen and Vilda Bartschi. Mrs. Bartchi is a former resident of Brigham The float, designed as a Grecian Galley Ship, is topped with a plastic sail on which is painted a Trojan horse. A Trojan horses head is repeated on the prow of the ship. Golden cars are manned by eleven little girls in pastel colored slave costumes. The principal characters of the float are clad in draped costumes of white and gold, representing the fine arts. They include Janis Bartschi symbolizing music, Clinton Thompson, painting; Duane Cox, sculpture; Kay Hugie, drama; Gloria HanDennis sen, literature; and Theurer, philosophy. This unique float has received much favorable comment in the eight parades in which it has participated this season.
