Selected to attend annual American Legion auxiliary sponsored Girls state at Logan are three Box Elder high school eenors, Dixie Gordon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gordon, Colleen Farmer, daughter of Mrs. Purdett Farmer, and Carol Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fatcyk. The trio will attend the gathering June 8 through June 15. At Girls State, the participants organize simulated governments from the municipal to national level, hold campaign and elect officers. They were selected to attend on the basis of scholarship, talent, leadership, extra curricular activity. Colleen Is sponsored by the Business and Professional Women, Carol by the Bill Davis American Legion auxiliary and who was elected president Dixie by the Civic Improvement Junior club. of the Brigham City Chamber of Commerce in a recent election. He replaces Perc Petersen who served the past year.
