OLD J S as been spent in Brigham City manager of the local store. - Mr. and Mrs. Bowen and family, Dorothy and Kathleen came Amsterbo Brigham City from dam, Neiw York, December 15, 1927. Since then Mr. Bowen has been very active in civic and business affairs of Brigham City ' and Box Elder county. He served six years as secretary of the Rotary clidb, president of the Rotary club, president of the Box Elder Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the committee which was responsible for the establishment of Bushnell General hospital in Brigham City during the war. Also, he was chairman of the U. S. bonds sales in the county for four years, chairman of the Box Elder U. S. O. during War Two. He has served as chairman of the Box Elder county Red Cross for the past five years and still holds that responsibility, and many other committees and fund drives including chairman of Box Elder Chamber of Commerce committee on Indian school at the present time. Two of the accomplishments of which Ross is proud are the many fine friends that the Bowens have made in and out of business and the help it has been possible for him to render to the many fine boys and girls who have worked in his store, expediting their success in business. Proudly, Ross points out that 10 boys have graduated from the Brigham City store into other successful .businesses; six are store managers " and others are department heads and assistant managers Ip Penney stores, while some are successful in other fields. "The fine success of the Brigham City store is largely due to the loyal and efficient help of these wonderful people Mr. Bowen commented.
