Last Tuesday evening folks from Corinne who attended the Norwegian Christmas party held in Logan as guests of Karl of Brigham City, were Bishop and Mis. Henry Norman, Karl, Milton and Joan Norman; Mrs. Lois Hubbard, Lloyd Hubbard, Lorraine Anderson and Lois Jorsenson, Stella, Emily and Robert Shorty of Brigham City. It was held in the Sixth ward at Logan and was well attended by Norwegian converts and missionaries to that country and their families. A large Xmas tree was in the center of the recreation hall around which everyone danced and sang carols with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus arriving and distributing bags of candy and nuts to everyone. Later the guests were all seated at attractively arranged tables in the banquet hall where chocolate and delicious Norwegian cakes and cookies were served. A very nice program was enjoyed at the beginning of the festivities. A delicious Christmas menu dinner was served. The table was beautifully decorated with a miniature Santa Claus with his reindeer and sleigh as the centerpiece. Beside the guest of honor those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Max Facer and daughters, Beverly and Shirley; Mr. and Mrs. Brant Johnson and children Carolyn, Lee and Betty; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Westmorland and daughter, Sherry, and, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Abel and son, Teddy. Following the dinner gifts were exchanged and a so- - at the sacrament meeting the night before Christmas. They sang numerous Christmas carols and Mrs. Verda Marble was narrator, telling the story of the carols, by whom written and a little of their history. Bishop Henry Norman thanked the Relief society officers for their Christmas gift to the ward of the beautiful painting which had been placed on the wall behind the rostrum, and express thanks to the artist who painted the beautiful picture of The Good Shepherd. Mrs. Alice O. Norman, Mrs. Barbara Wright and Mrs. Rose Nelson, the retiring Relief society officers were responsible for sponsoring this worthwhile project which will always be a thing beauty and a joy forever, to be loved by all the members of the ward. The Special Interest class of the M.I.A. sponsored. a very successful square dance party last Wednesday evening in the recreation hall with about SO in attendance.' Music and records ere furnished by A. M. Reeder and a cafeteria style lunch was served under the direction of Mrs. June Craner and Mrs. Walter Cheal, chairmen, assisted by Ada Reeder, Lydia Hansen, Margaret Hatch and Lois Hubbard. New ones are coming out each week and are enjoying these . sociable evenings of fun. Primary Officers Entertain Husbands At Xmas Party The Perry Primary officers entertained their husbands at a hot dinner last Thursday evening at the home of Primary President Thelma Billings. The tables were beautifully decorated with candles and bells, and clever little marshmallow candle sticks marked the places for 28 guests.
