Ormsby, commanding officer of the 1906 Airways and A i r service Communication (AAOS) squadron at Hill Air Force Base. A graduate of Provo high school (class of 47), Sergeant Stouter entered the air force in January, 1947, and took his basic military training at Lack-lan- d Air (Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. His flare for drums brought him a spot in the air force band at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D. C. In August, 1947, he left Washington, D. C. to attend the radio operators school at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. After graduating. Sergeant Souter returned to Bolling Air Force Base as a radio operator with an airways and air- - communications "Opera- tions Vittles, Sergeant Souter was sent to Frankfurt, Germany, to become part of an AACS unit providing navigational aids to airlift pilots to insure safe flying in bad weather and rough terrain. Returning to the states in the latter part Of 1949, he was assigned to the AACS squadron at Hill Air Force Base and is currently serving his country as a radio operator in the direction finding station. A veteran of four years service, Sergeant Souter has been awarded the good conduct medal and the German occupation medal with the air lift device. - . r 'jo Z'&tep K.
