Show BOX New handbook ELDER NEWS, Utah Brigham City, 5 Sunday, September 4, 1977 Scout leaders beckoned to training Girl There's a new look and a new book " Worlds to Explore" for Girl Scouting this fall, and all Girl Scout leaders and committee members are invited to become acquainted with the new look and hand book at a special training session for the Box Elder neighborhood on Monday, Sept. ' 12. The training session is slated for 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Gillespie Hall, both to assist old leaders In changing from the old to the new program and also to acquaint new leaders with Girl Scouting and program aids. All persons interested in scouting are Invited to participate. Kathy Shea from Salt Lake City will direct the training session, and will Introduce the new Girl Scout handbook and program. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a sack lunch. If enough children will be coming, nursery arrangements will be made. Young of Brigham City in observance of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Event is scheduled Sunday, Sept. 1 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. Mr; and Mrs. Leo T. Young, North Second East, Brigham City, will be honored by family members in observance of their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 11, at their home from 4 to 6 p.m. They were married on Sept. 7, 1927, in the Salt Lake LDS ..temple and have made their home in Box Elder county most of their married life. Mr. Young was born in Perry on May 8, 1907. He worked for the Fish and Wildlife service at the Bear River refuge. He started work at the refuge site for the construction contractors Sept. 25, 1929, and retired from the Fish and Wildlife service Dec. 30, 1966. Since that time, Leo and Ruth have enjoyed many fishing trips. They have made several short trips to warmer climate during the winter months. 230 Born In Brigham City Mrs. Young, the former Ruth Berchtold, was born in Brigham retired from the Brigham Apparel City, Aug. 31, 1908. She Corp. in 1970. Since then, she has enjoyed her family, friends and crocheting. She makes a lovely afghan for each grandchild as they graduate from high school along with many other gifts to family members and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Young are members of the Brigham City LDS Eighth ward. They are the parents of three sons and one daughter Darwin L. Young, Lyle J. Young, Leon L. (Pete) Young and Mrs. Dee H. (Ruth Marie) Christof-ferseall of Brigham City. They have 14 grandchildren and one All friends and relatives of the family are invited to attend the open house and visit with them on this happy occasion. They request no gifts. n, great-grandchil- Dale Lynn Randall A Dale Lynn Randall, 33, of 115 West Third South, Brigham City, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 1977, after an extended illness in University hospital, Salt Lake City. He was born June 11, 1944, in Rexburg, Idaho, a son of Lynn L. and Eldora Weeks Randall. He married Carol Holyoak on June 5, 1968, in the Salt Lake LOS temple. He was reared and educated in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and had lived in Blanding, Utah, before moving to Brigham City in 1971. He graduated from Brigham Young university in 1968 and had worked as an employment interviewer with Job Service. He served an LDS mission to the Southern States in 1963-6He was a member of the Brigham City Second LDS ward where he had served as seventies group leader, stake mission president and assistant stake clerk. He was a high priest at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife of Brigham City, one son and two w ,s Utah. member of the Catholic church. Rio Crispulo (Chris) Castillo Rio, Valley Center road, New Berry Springs, Calif., died 80, of 45898 August 31, 1977, in San Bernardino, Calif., of causes incident to age. He was born May 25, 1897, in Talisay, Philippines, a son of Rio. He married Maria Mendez on Dec. 3, 1935, in Salt Lake City. He lived in Hawaii and came to the United States in 1913.
