Show ' , - y THE PROVO HERALD, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1920. SHE ONLY WEIGHED 1EIYJ01DS Takes Tanlac and Now Weighs Exactly One Hundred and ' Fifteen Pounds. "When I first began taking Tanlac I only weighed ninety pounds, but I now weigh one hundred and fifteen," said Mrs. E. J. Straw, of 710 Crocker street, Des Moines, Iowa. "I really thought I was not going to ever get well," she continued, "so my wonderful recovery has made me one of the happiest women in Iowa and I believe Tanlac saved my life. "A year ago I had influenza which left my kidneys all out of order with-out suffering terribly afterwards I also had neuritis so bad in my righi shoulder that I had not been able to comb my hair for six months. I tried everything to get built up again but got worse all the time and to add to my troubles my nerves gave 'way; I could not do any of my housework and had to spend most of the time in bed. "When I began taking Tanlac I had been in bed three weeks, but before I finished the first bottle I was up and about. Now I have taken seven bottles and every one has been worth its weight in gold to me. The stom-ach trouble, neuritis and nervousness are entirely gone and I am so strong I do all the housework without the least trouble. In fact, I am enjoying the best of health and I can't praise Tan-lac enough.' Tanlac is sold in Bingham Canyon by W. H. Woodring, druggist, and by the leading druggist In every city. School News i ... i. t MEMORIES. (By Alta Mllier.- - As I sit alone by the fire and think of the days long past, Memories como crowding upon me, thoughts that forever will last. I look bacle on the pages of history, , and see myself as I was, And a tear slips from under my eve-li-and my heart aches us it ! ever does. Memories of childhood come throng-ing to play with me once more, And I'm happy again: with my mem-ories, and sit waiting alone as before. The shadows' of night are deepening, . and with them the light, of the world. And I ;:hake the fire's embers till their flames of gold are unfurled. Each flame is a dancing fairy with ' hair of streaming hue, They last but a moment in splendor, 'then give place to the new. To you they are flames of fire, used only as long as they last. But to me they shall live forever, they link my heart with the past. Memories, sweet memories of laugh-ter, memories of sadness and woe, . You are my constant comrades, you are with me wherever I go. My past is never forgotten, it shall live forever with me, It's my ship of friendship "and wel-come which carries me over life's sea. So take all your notions and plan-- j nings, and enter your many glees, But go from my sight and hearing, and leave me alone with my. memories. MODERN HISTORY. Him something must counteract All the good thoughts which come from the heart; So He made all the beasts and the reptiles, too, And the snakes and the scorpion bad, But He found He still had material left Out of which He could make a cad. So He placed it together with jeal-ousy . And marked it with yellow streaks, And called him a "knocker," a hin-drance to all Who liberty's downfall seeks. This product, a "knocker", was fearful and strong, And hard to contemplate; So He took up a sunbeam, and the heart of a child To conquer this dreadful hate. He placed them together, along with man's pride, And masked them with velvet and Bteel He named him a "booster," a lover, a ','' ' NEW BODY OF ORE FOUND INJON KING Concerning several Tintic proper-ties the latest market letter of Charles A. Stoneham & Co., says: Iron King The Iron King Con-solidated is shipping iron fluxing ore from its tunnel level at the rate of one car a day. The mine could pro-duce more, but this ls all the smelter ' will take. Some low grade ore has been found in a break tapped by the deep workings. The break was en-countered on the 1560-foo- t level about 600 feet from the shaft and the ore is being followed. On the 1560-foo- t level drifts are being run east, southwest and northeast. It is in the northeast drift that the ore has been found. A drift is going east on the 1000-fo-level. Iron Blossom The present output of ore from the Iron Blossom comes entirely from the leases on old stopes. Several of the lessees are doing well. Operations of the compact are con-fined to drifting on the 2200-foo- t level of the No. y shaft The objective, a point underneath a quart! exposure at the surface, ls about 300 or 400 feet from the present face of the drift Chief Consolidated The new ' con-crete lined shaft of the Chief Consoli-dated will be finished early in Decem-ber, if the present rata of progress is maintained. The shaft was driven 1?2 feet in October. It is now below the 1750-foo- t level. The Plutus company, controlled by the Chief, has levied an assessment of 1 cent per share, delin-quent December 6, .saleable December 30. , Copper Leaf The search of the Copper Leaf for the northerly exten-sion of the Tintic Standard ore zone has been discontinued for the time being. A deep shaft has been driven and much drifting done. Some pockets of high grade ore were found near the shaft but no shipments have been made.
