Show TWELVES FUNERAL WILL BE HELD SUNDAY t - Provo Boy Who Died In France Will Be Buried Here Sunday With Mill tary Honors. Body Arrived Here Last Evening. Funeral Will Be Held at Noon in Fifth Ward. The body of Roland Van Twelves, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Twelves, arrived in this city Wednesday even ing from overseas, where he died in 1918 of influenza while serving his country in the 145th field artillery a3 .a member of Battery P. The funeral will be held Sunday at 12 o'clock in the Fifth ward meeting hoifce and the Provo post of the ArJicai Legion will attertti. A firing snuad from Battery C of the national guard'wlll also attend. Roland Twelves was 23 years of age at the time of hi9 death, which occurred oc-curred in France on the 14th day of October, 1918. He volunteered into the service of his country and enlisted in Salt Lake City on the 6th of July, 1917. He was soon transferred to Battery Bat-tery F of the 14r,th field artillery and with this organization went to France. Mr. and Mrs. Twelves had two other sons in the service, Hollis and Glenn I Twelves. They also have another son, i Walter, and four daughters; these are I Mrs. F.dna Larson of Salt Lake City, Ida K'stadillo of California. Mrs. Flora Brown of Hollywood. Cal., and Mrs. Luclla Little of Provo. The funeral services will be I" charge of Bishop Albert Mubey and the music will-be under the direction of Prof. J. It. KoshartL Chaplain B If. Roland Twelves worked for about two years in Bingham just before enlisting en-listing for service which took him overseas. He was well known around the Commercial club and was employed em-ployed in the Highland store. |
