Show MRS. SELMA WILLIAMS LONGTIME BINGHAM RESIDENT PASSES AWAY JUNE 8 Funtrcl services for Mrs. Selma Wullin Williams, 91, of 7 Wolcott St. ( 1435 East, Salt Lake City, widow wid-ow of Atha T. Williams, former Bin'jh.'im Canyon city judge, were held Saturday afternoon, June 10, at 2:30 p.m. at 574 E. 1st South, Salt Lake City. Rev. Ada Duhigg wos in charge of services. Mrs. Williams passed away Thurs day, June 8, at 11:15 a.m. in a Salt Lnke hospital of causes incident to age. She was bcrn March 28, 1870, in Stockholm, Sweden, a daughter of Gustav Johnson and Selma Johnson John-son Wallin. She came to Utah in 1672. She was married to Mr. Williams Wil-liams April 9, 1896, in Bingham Canyon. Mr. Williams, judge and active iBngham business man, died in 1940. Mrs. Williams had been a longtime long-time resident of Bingham Canyon, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul's Methodist Church in Copperton. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Salt Lake City. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Atha E. Williams, Mrs. H. C. (Catherine) Jenkins, both of Salt Lake City, and Harold W. Williams, Encino, Calif.; also 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. WILLIAM LEROY NELSON SERVICES SET FOR SATURDAY AT MIDVALE Funeral services for William LeRoy Le-Roy Nelson. 79, of 90 Lincoln St., Miuvale, former Bingham Canyon resident for a number of years, who passed awry Wednesday morning, June 14, at 8 a.m. at his home in Midvale, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at 8090 So. State St., where friends may call this evening, Friday, Fri-day, from 6 to 8 p.m. and tomorrow prior to services. Mr. Nelson was born May 23, 1882, Winter Quarters, Carbon County, to John L. and Mary Frances Fran-ces Nelson. He married Doris May Gaythwaite, Nov. 4, 1920, in Salt Lake City. Mr. Nelson was a retired carpenter foreman for Kennecott Copper Corp. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints, he was a past member Bingham Volunteer Fire Department and member of the Utah State Firemen's Fire-men's Association. He is survived by his widow, Midvale; sons and daughters. Jack E. Nelson, Concord, Calif.; Robert L. Nelson, Kearns; Mrs. W. C. (Joan Cimber, El Segundo, Calif.; Mrs. David (Barbara) Sorensen, Salt Lake City; and 10 grandchildren. Interment will be in Midvale City Cemetery. Mrs. Gunnar (Olive Wall) Eriksson Mrs. Gunnar (Olive Wall) Eriksson, Erik-sson, 63, former Salt Lake City resident, died Sunday at her home in Hollywood after a heart attack. Mrs. Eriksson was born Oct. 31, 1897 in Salt Lake City, a daughter cf Col. and Mrs. E. A. Wall. Her father, Col. Wall, was a pioneer in tho early Utah mining business and was a leader in the development of the Bingham Canyon mining area. Funeral services and burial were held Wednesday in Hollywood. |
