Show JOE RUKEVENA SERVICES HELD Requiem mass was celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary church for Joseph I. Rukevena, 57, employee of Ken-necott Ken-necott Copper Corp. since 1922, who died Monday at 7 a.m. He became ill while at work in the open pit mine Monday morning and was taken to a Salt Lake hospital where he was pronounced pro-nounced dead on arrival of a heart ailment. Mr. Rukevena was born July 19, 1891 in Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1906. He moved to Bingham in 1916 where he resided except for one year in 1921-22 when he was employed em-ployed in Hibbing, Minn. He worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. as a power shovel operator in the open pit mine at Bingham. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Salt Lake Council No. 602 and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic parish. Mr. Rukevena has no known survivors in the United States. Interment was in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Salt Lake City under the direction of Bingham mortuary. mortu-ary. -v |
