Show " 1 , , i John Knudsen Celebrates His 81st Birthday John Knudsen celebrated his 81st birthday Tuesday, September Septem-ber 4 by "staying home" and meeting a few old acquaintances. Mr. Knudsen retired as fireman fire-man at Utah Copper company in 1943 after having worked for the company for over 25 years. A son of John and Karen Anderson An-derson Knudsen, he was born in a covered wagon on the plains of Wyoming, while his parents were traveling to Utah in 1864. His early life was spent in Mt. Pleasant. He served eight years as sheriff of Sanpete county before be-fore coming to Bingham in 1911 to act as general foreman in charge of guards at Utah Copper company. His wife Emma Christensen died March 26, 1937- Mr. Knudsen Knud-sen lives in the East Mill Creek district at 2374 East 34th South. He is the father of three sons and five daughters. They are John Dewey, George W., Elmer V. Knudsen and Mrs. Vida Poulsen of Copperton; Mrs. Ruby Parkin, Par-kin, Mrs. Ann Rasmussen, Mrs. Gertrude Doidge, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Mabel Boberg of Bingham. |
