Show Carol Nielson PR 4-3036, Reporter W.B.A. meets Monday evening, Sept. 18, ot the home of Mrs. Norman Nor-man Jacobsen of Copperton. All members invited to come out. Last Friday Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bentley and Mrs. Jean Bentley and children motored to Midvale to visit Janice, Orley, Randy and Sherry Lynn Bills and their grandmother, Mrs. Rosella Ransom. While in Midvale they also visited Mrs. Peter Padgen and family. Mrs. Arthur Bentley visited Sunday Sun-day morning with Mrs. Mabel Brim-hall, Brim-hall, Mrs. Scroggin and Mrs. Ruth Hudson. Galena Lodge No. 1 7. Auxiliary to B. L. F. ft E. Oquirrh No. 844, will meet Monday evening, 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Arthur Bentley. Week end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Murray of Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Jones of Kearns were Mrs. Horace Jones of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Carl Gobrecht of Grass Valley, Calif. Dinner cuests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Hilda Allmark returned home from St. Mark's Hospital last Friday. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bentley went to see Mr. and Mrs. Orley Bills of Midvale who returned return-ed home the day before (Saturday) from a trip to California. Visiting this week with Mrs. Esther Clays have been her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Beverly Woodman and granddaughter, Linda Zorn from Portland, Ore. Linda also visited friends at Bear Lake. The visitors plan to leave today, Friday, to return re-turn to the northwest. Monday night, Mrs. Mildred Hall of Midvale entertained at dinner at Clark's Cafeteria for Mrs. Esther Clays, Mrs. Beverly Woodman and daughter, Linda, and Mr. C. A. Morley. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nielsen and Mr. and Mrs. Hunt L. Nielson visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Sor-enson Sor-enson of West Jordan last Friday evening. Mrs. Mabel Torgensen of Monroe Mon-roe arrived Monday to stay with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nielsen and family were Mrs. Eunice Rae Collings and children, child-ren, Dana, Kathy and Neal of Mut- Regular weekly meetings of the Firemen's Auxiliary were resumed Monday night. Mrs. Wally Swenson was hostess for the evening. Bridge was played with prizes won by Mrs. oe Dispenza, first; Mrs. Jack louseholder Jr., second; Mrs. A. J. Sargent, consolation, and Mrs. Verio Kendrick, bingo. Lovely refreshments re-freshments were served by the hostess. Mrs. Lawrence West will be hostess next Monday night. Mrs. Hunt L. Nielson. Lail B. Meenen arrived here Tuesday to spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Hunt L. Nielson and family. He is stationed with the navy at San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Robison and daughter, LaDean, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ott and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Norton, all of Murray Sunday. WINN-SUTHERLAND WEDDING Miss Joan Amelia Winn became the bride of Dorein Charles Sutherland Suther-land Thursday, Sept. 7 in a double-ring double-ring ceremony performed at Crest-wood Crest-wood Villa. A. Fred Dipo, L.D.S. bishop, officiated. A reception after ward honored the couple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. a:.d Mrs. Elmer P. Winn, 7508 Wasatch Blvd. Parents of the bride groom are Mr. and Mrs. Einner O. Sutherland, Copperton. For her wedding the bride wore a floor-length gown of nylon organza or-ganza over taffeta. Schiffli embroidery embroid-ery enhanced the bodice and was repeated on the bouffant skirt. Mrs. W. Paul Anderson was matron ma-tron of honor. Miss Kay Littleford and Mrs. George Butterworth, sister of the bridegroom, were attendants. attend-ants. Paula Anderson and Diane Butterworth were flower girls. They wore matching gowns of tangerine brocaded satin and small veiled hats with bow trim. They carried tan umbrellas filled with tangerine carnations. Best man wos Van Sutherland. Ushering were W. Paul Anderson, Keith L. Winn and Jeff Sutherland. |
