Carol Nielson PR 4-3036, Reporter B.H.S. CLASS OF 1956 HOLDS REUNION SEPT. 22 The 1956 graduating class of Bingham High School held a reunion re-union at Mt. Majestic Manor at Brighton, Friday evening, Sept. 22. Of the class of 72, 60 members and partners were present. In attendance at-tendance also were several teachers teach-ers from Bingham High School, and letters from several class members unable to attend were read. An ai-tumn theme was carried out in decorations, and delicious swiss steak or trout dinners were served. Reminiscing and dancing were also a part of the evening's entertainment. Those attending were Dorothy Slotte, Ellen Beth Thomas, Mr. and Mrs, Tom James, Carol Dean Sanchez, San-chez, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Crellin, Mary Kampros, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sax, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lavendar (Lorraine Scorzato), Mr. and Mrs. Ray Taylor, Priscilla Ortego, De-lores De-lores Aijuayo, Carma Rekoutis, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Reading, Mr. and Mrs Larry Johnson, Joan Arritola, Beverly Bev-erly Wright and partner, Jon Cross, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Stanley (LaDean r i Mr. Ray has completed an LDS mission to the Northern States. Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Lail B. Meenen returned last Saturday from their wedding trip to Kansas where they visited Mr. Meenen's family and friends. Ruth Rebckah Lodge meets at the home of Mrs. Charlotte Murano in Copperton Tuesday evening, Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m. Sunday Mr, and Mrs. Henry Key-saw Key-saw and family and Mr. and Mrs. Robert King and family enjoyed the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Del Chestnut visited at the Hunt Nielson home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nichols and Bill Nichols went boat riding on the Strawberry Tuesday. A very enjoyable en-joyable ride was had by all. The Firemen and Auxiliary dinner din-ner group held a conjoint dinner last Monday night, A delicious dinner din-ner was served after which five hundred was played. Prizes were won by Mrs. Boyd Anderson, Verl Peterson, Mrs. Robert King and Joe Dispenza. On the committee arranging ar-ranging the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Verl Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Winn, Mrs. Mae Stillman and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swenson. Mrs. Carrie Doyle was an invited guest. 26 were in attendance. Fire Auxiliary will meet this Monday night, Oct. 2 at the home of Mrs. John T. West, 6990 South 440 East in East Midvale. Last Saturday, Mrs. Arthur Bentley of Galena Lodge No. 1 7 and Mr. Bentley of the Brotherhood Brother-hood and five others from Mid-Valley Mid-Valley Lodge in Midvale attended a state meeting at Helper. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nichols were dinner guests Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Andreason of Copperton. Mr. and Mrs. Lail B. Meenen left Wednesday for San Diego, Calif., where they will make their home. On their way to the coast they visited vis-ited with Wilford Nielson of Richfield, Rich-field, Mrs. Maybel Torgensen of Monroe, and Mr. and Mrs. Dell Sullivan of Alamo, Nev. Frank Carr left Saturday on a two week vacation in the east and near Toronto, Canada, where he was honored this week as a sixty year member of the Masonic Lodge, and also to visit his sister, also in Canada. Dahlstrom, 118 Hillcrest, Copperton, has been pledged to Sigma Alpha Epsilon, national social fraternity, on the Ham), Ruby Mae Serassio, Joyce Jackson, Jackie Dahlstrom, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Butler (Gladys Lugo), Dave Cunliffe, Jim Wilson and partner Diane Willey, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jacobson, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Jacobson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Cunningham, Adriano Martinez, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Miller, Jim Bolton, John Goris and partner Norma Strong, Malcolm Robertson, Bill Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Whitmore and Gary Hakanson. Mi Mullin, principal, Mike Gonzales, JoAnn Murano and Sherry Lancaster Lancas-ter Nielson, who were unable to attend. BERG-RAY WEDDING Reciting vows Friday morning, September 22, in Salt Lake LDS Temple rites were Miss Peggy Irene Berg and Mac Niel Ray. Elder Le-Grand Le-Grand Richards of the Council of the Twelve officiated. Following, the bridegroom's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Ray of Copperton, honored the couple at a wedding breakfast at Andy's Smorgasbord. That evening the newlyweds were further feted at a reception at Copperton Ward meetinghouse, hosted by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Marvin Throckmorton, also of Copperton. For the event the bride wore a gown of white slipper satin enhanced en-hanced with rosepoint lace. A double bow accented the back of the skirt, which ended in a train. Her elbow length veil of illusion was caught to a crown of pearls and she carried a gold-throated white orchid surrounded by white bud roses. Mrs. Jerald Weathcrford was matron of honor. Other attendants were Miss Marsha Walker, Mr. Evan Williams and Miss Charlene Ray, junior bridesmaid. They wore full-skirted dresses of aqua green taffeta and carried nosegays of carnations with miniature cattails. Wayne Neilsen stood as best man. Ushers were Roy Ray, Russell Ray, Maynard Berg, Ronald Boren and Robert Bailey. The newlyweds will make a home in West Jordan, following a honeymoon trip to the Northwest and Canada. The couple will continue their studies at Brigham Young University, Univer-sity, where the bride was affiliated with Beta Beta Beta, Orchesis, University Uni-versity Chorale and Shomrah Kiyel. |
