Show Miss Valene Rasmu&sen and Harvey Douglas Goff Wed In Temple Riiet Exchanging wedding promises in a double ring ceremony solemnized sol-emnized Wednesday morning, September 7 by Robert D. Young in the Salt Lake LDS temple were Mis Frances Valene Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, a (laughter of Mr. and I Mrs. J. O. Kasmussen of Salt Luke City, formerly of Bingham Canyon, and Harvey Douglas Goff, a son of Mr. and Mrs. II. L. Goff of Copperton. For the reception that evening honoring the couple at Memorial House, Memory Grove, the bride was lovely in a gown of white satin styled with a nylon yoke edged with seed pearls, pointice sleeves, and full train. Her shoul-! shoul-! tier length veil of British silk ! illusion was caught to a coronet of white rose buds and she carried car-ried a white Bible marked with an orchid and streamers of steph-anotis. steph-anotis. Wearing identical models of taffeta were bridal attenuants Mrs. Rodney W. Porter, sister of the bride, matron of honor, in burgundy; Mrs. Keith O. Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, sister in law of the bride, attending matron, in gold, and bridesmaids Miss Arlene RaS-mussen RaS-mussen and Miss Jackie Dahl-strom, Dahl-strom, cousins of the couple, in blue. Petite Emily Kay Porter, niece of the bride, was flower girl and her gown was of orchid-pink orchid-pink taffeta. Each carried bouquet bou-quet of gardenias and white gladioli. Performing best man duties was Kenneth Ray and ushers were Keith O. Rasmusscn. Rodney Rod-ney W. Porter and Gordon Buckle. Greeting guests in a gown of ; blue crepe was the bride's mother moth-er and Mrs. Goff was in a model ; of rose crepe. Both wore corsages of gardenias and roses. Following a short honeymoon j the couple left by plane September Septem-ber 12 for Boston, Mass., where they will make their home while Mr. Goff is attending the Graduate Gradu-ate School of Business at Harvard Har-vard university. Mr. Goff is a graduate of Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university at Provo where he was affiliated with the; Blue Key and also served as pre- sident of Alpha Kappa Phi. |
