Show COUPLE TO NOTE GOLDEN WEDDING DATE SATURDAY rat J ? x - l -U ' 7j ,rl Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Phipps, residents of Bingham Canyon since 1926, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary tomorrow, tomor-row, Saturday, December 23. Marking the occasion will be a dinner honoring them given at their home by close friends and relatives in the evening. Native Missourians, they were married December 23, 1900 in Osgood, Mo., hometown of the bride, by Rev. S. L. White. They moved here in 1926, and Mr. Phipps has since been employed by Kennecott Copper Corp. Pri or to that they farmed in Missouri Mis-souri for 25 years. Mr. Phipps was born in Humphrey, Hum-phrey, Mo November 12, 1878, a son of Ambrose and Frances Mills Phipps. Clara Parker Phipps was born January 10, 1883 in Osgood, a daughter of Harrick and Polly Parker. Three of four sons and daughters daugh-ters born to the couple are living: liv-ing: Ralph Phipps of Gait, Mo.; Mrs. Peggy Harry man and Miss Dolores Phipps of Bingham. They also have eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. |
