Show MU Lucy Praggaiiii Was Lovely Bride At Church Certmonies A beautiful wedding solemnized solemniz-ed at seven o'clock last evening, October 29, in the Hellenic Orthodox Ortho-dox church, Salt Lake City, united uni-ted in marriage Miss Lucy Prag-gastis, Prag-gastis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Praggastis, and Lieutenant Lieuten-ant (j.g) Nicholas L. Strike of Salt Lake City. The Reverend John Vassiliades officiated at the impressive centuries-old ceremony. cere-mony. The bride was lovely in her gown of white crepe jersey, fashioned fash-ioned en train and with a bodice draped into a bow at the neckline. neck-line. The skirt drapery formed a bow at the hipline. The three-quarter three-quarter length sleeves were gathered ga-thered at the elbow. She wore long, white kid gloves and carried car-ried a white prayer book from which fell ribbon streamers and a white orchid. Her fingertip veil was of imported bride's illusion and was attached b- tiny flowers flow-ers to a halo bow of illusion. Attendants to the -bride wore identical models . of sky blue crepe jersey, made on the same lines as her wedding gown. Their bouquets were of Hollywood roses ros-es and they wore curled blue ostrich os-trich tips in their hair. Included in the group were Mrs. Clarence Johnson, matron of honor; Mrs. Walter Bolic of Salt Lake City, attending matron; Miss Kay Strike of Salt Lake City, maid ot honor, and Miss Sophie Zeese of Salt Lake City, bridesmaid. Little Lit-tle Cythia Stanley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Stanley , of Salt Lake City, was flower girl. Ushers were John Strike of Salt Lake City and Chris T. Praggastis Prag-gastis and Clarence Johnson of Bingham. Sam Soter of Midvale and George Svolos of Chicago were best men. John Kaddas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kaddas of Salt Lake City, was ring bearer. Palms and lighted white tapers in candlclabra decorated the church. Lohengrin's Wedding March, played by Mrs. Bill Theodore Theo-dore of Salt Lake City, was the processional. Deno Kannes of Salt Lake City sang "I Love You Truly" immediately before the ceremony. Following a wedding dinner for the two families in the junior ballroom of the Hotel Utah, a reception re-ception for 400 guests followed at the Lafayette ballroom. Parents Par-ents of the couple and the bridal party were in the receiving line. Mrs. Praggastis wore black lace and a corsage of roses and Mrs. Strike a gown of black chiffon and dusty rose. Her flowers were roses. , Lieutenant Strike is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Strike of Salt Lake City and is attached to the naval supply depot at Seattle, Wash., where the couple will make their home. He is a graduate grad-uate of Westminster college and the University of Utah. |
