Show Tlmreday. MaylO, 1928 - THE BINGHAM BULLETIN. BINGHAM CANYON, UTAH DoritMakeaToyl Out of Baby --Babies Have'Nerves' By RUTH PRITTAIN Much of :the nervousness in older children can, be traced to the over-stimulation during infancy, caused by regarding baby as a sort of animated toy for the amusement of parents, rel-atives and friends. Baby, may be played with, but not for more than a quarter of an hour to an hour dully. Beyond that, being handled, tickled, caused to laugh or even txream, will sometimes result in vomiting, and In-variably causes Irritability, crying or sleeplessness. Fretfulness, crying and sleeplessnest from this cause can easily be avoided by treating baby with more consider-ation, but when you Just can't tea what is making baby restless or upset, better give him a few drops of pure, harmless Castorla. It's amazing to see how quickly it calms baby's nerves and soothes him to sleep; yet It contains no drugs or opiates. It Is purely veg-etable the recipe is on the wrapper. Leading physicians prescribe it for colic, cholera, diarrhea, constipation, gas on stomach and bowels, feverish-nes- s, loss of sleep and all other "up-sets" of babyhood. Over 25 million bottles used a year showB its over-whelming popularity. With each bottle of Castorla, you get a book on Motherhood, worth its weight in gold. Look for Chas. H. Fletcher's signature on the package so you'll get genuine Castorla. There are many imitations. yS-- A FEW CENTS All of us realize nowadays how bright-colore- d draperies seem to In-vite people-in- , and how warm touches of color in spreads, cushions and run-ners help to make us love our own surroundings. OWNER HELD FOR ; OTHEITSDRIVING Maryland Dealer Fined Be-cause Prospective Cus-- j toroer Speeded Up. That owners of motor vehicles should take to neart the fact that tbey, as owners, are, under the auto-mobile law of Maryland, responsible for the proper operation of the vehicles owned by them whether they be the actual driver at the time an offense Is committed or not, was the gist of a statement from Baltimore by E. Aus-tin Baughman, motor vehicle com-missioner. That tills provision of the law with respect to muny of its sections Is equally applicable in its penalties to owner and operator is not, apparently, well leallzed by the owners, according to Commissioner Baughmau. Applies to All. loirtiier. It applies not only to the private owner, but to the dealers as well, when their cars are being driven not only by their own employees, but by prospective purchasers who are testing the vehicles out hefore making a purchase. The commissioner pointed out by way of Illustration the case of an automobile dealer In Maryland who wus fined $100 for permitting one of his cars to be operated by a prospec-tive customer who was testing Its speed abilities In excess of GO miles 'an hour. The operator at the time was the prospective customer, and the dealer whs In the vehicle seated be-side the driver. The prospect In test-ing the claims of the dealer speeded the vehicle up beyond sixty miles an hour ond at Just this time one of the stnte police dropped in behind them and clocked them at better than the lltiilt mentioned. The operator was 'taken before a, magistrate, found guilty, and ussessed the minimum fine for this offense. Then the charge was laid against the dealer-owne- r for "permitting" his vehicle to be operated in excess of sixty miles an hour and in turn wus found guilty and assessed the same minimum tine of $100. Since then the driving licenses of both the driver and the dealer have been re-voked by the commissioner. Not a New Law. In discussing the matter Commis-sion Baughman said : "llo not want the Impression to xlst 1 tin t this Is t.ny new section of the luV, or that there is any special Intensive drive ou against dealers who permit their cars to be demonstrated in excess of the speed laws or In vio-lation of other sections of the statute, while being tested by prospective pur-chasers. However, It would be well for all car owners of all classes to take thought of the fact that as owners they are held, under the automobile law, to be equally responsible and equally subject to the penalties appli-cable to the operator In certain types of violation."
