Twenty ministers and wives were present. Halloween Parties Copperton Sunday School gave a Halloween costume party for the Bingham Sunday School at the Highland Boy Community House in Bingham last Friday night. Several costume prizes were awarded. They were: pret-tiest Jill Norden, and Tina Church; ugliest Gilbert Gutier-rez and Terry Ball; most original Helen Montoya and Mary Garcia. Winners in games were Ronnie Coward, Steven Fike, Martha Palmer, Buddy Partner and Harry Begay. The party was under direction of Mrs. Pearl Knudsen, Sunday School super-intendent. Miss Mildred May had charge of the games; Barbara and Betty Coward and Mrs. Dan Groves, refreshments. Mrs. Ro-bert Coward made the cookies. About seventy were present. The Methodist Youth Fellow-ship held their Halloween party Monday night at the Community House in Bingham. Young people from Lark, Copperton, Bingham, Highland Boy and Copperfield, were in attendance. Mrs. Oswald Gallegos was in charge of re-freshments and Joyce Jackson, Ricky Brown and Miss Mildred May directed the games. About forty were present. Home Guards held their Hallo-ween party Monday afternoon, Cub scouts held their party Tues-day afternoon, and the story hour group and scouts held their par-ties Wednesday afternoon. The woman's sewing club held a Hal-loween luncheon and social this last Thursday. LOCALNOTES Guide class of Bingham Ward Primary will meet this Monday afternoon at the home of their teacher, Mrs. Arthur Bentley. Spending the day last Friday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Stan Jacques were their nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Firth of Portland, Ore. The Firths enroute home from a business trip to Texas stopped here to spend the day. Both being BYU graduates, they also attended the BYU .banquet and homecoming. Mrs. Carrie Reed is in the hos-pital at Lovell, Wyo., as a result of a fall. All her friends wish her a speedy recovery. Tuesday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James iN. Dalley and family were Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Dalley and son, Austin, of Cedar City and Mrs. Zelma Krie-ge- r of Logan. Lark MIA held a Halloween party Tuesday evening, October 29th in the LDS recreational hall. Everyone represented some fig-ment of their imagination and prizes were won by Billie Leej Morgan and Judy Hansen. A var- -' iety of games were played under the direction of the Junior Glean-er class. After the games, a sack full of candy was placed on a string and Terry Bardsley was the lucky person to hit it. After-wards cup cakes and punch were served. A delightful time was enjoyed by all. Lark Primary held their annual Halloween party in the LDS re-creational hall Wednesday after-noon. All the children came dress ed as different kinds of charac-ters. Games were played after which light refreshments were served. Mrs. Mary Jane Peart of Eur-eka arrived Tuesday of this week to spend the winter with her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gressmen. Lark P-T- A and the Lark Lions club with assistance from Lark Athletic Ass'n sponsored a Hallo-ween party for boys and girls of Lark at the school house Hallo- - ween night. Games were played in the different classrooms after which refreshments of the tra-ditional Halloween splendor, do-nu- ts and apple cider were served. After refreshments a bag of can-dy was given to the boys and girls. Movies concluded the even-ing's entertainment. "Disney Par-'ade- ", a cartoon, and "Who Killed Doc Robin", a feature, were shown. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Healy and sons, Tommy and Melvin, of Kearns spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Jaterka and family. Ann. Marie Deakin of Bingham was dinner guest recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scotty Robertson. Copperfield Branch of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints went on a skating party Saturday night at the S and M rink. Afterwards they went to the home of Darrel Beckstrom |
