Show FORMER BINGHAMITE PASSES AWAY Funeral services for Samuel Thomas Nerdin, 82, of 570-26th St., Ogden, former resident of Bingham Canyon for many years, who passed away last Saturday afternoon, af-ternoon, Sept. 8, at a Roy hospital, were held Wednesday morning at I I a.m. at Lindquist and Sons in Ogden. Mr. Nerdin was born April 5, 1880, in Lindon, Utah County, to Thomas and Anna Halverson Nerdin. Ner-din. He married Selena Roberts, in American Fork, in 1903. She died Feb. 15, 1955, in Bingham Canyon. Can-yon. He married Minnie Harris in Ogden, April 25, 1959. He lived in Lindon during early years. Resided Re-sided in Bingham Canyon for many years before going to Ogden in 1956. Had been compressor engineer engi-neer for Utah Copper Division of Kennecott Copper Corp., retiring in 1956, A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he also belonged to Sandy Odd Fellows Fel-lows Lodge, No. I I ; Rebecca's of Ogden, Queen City, No. 4, and the Golden Hour Cenier. Surviving him are his widow, Ogden; a son, Lloyd Nerdin, West Jordan; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Downard, Belmont, Calif.; Mrs Louis (Melba) Babcock, Ogden, and Mrs. Glen (Dawna) Huebner, Riverton; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Interment was in American Fork Cemetery. |
