Show (MffMlOLI J LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. BETHINE MILLER Funeral services for Mrs. Bethine Mae Steadman Miller, 38, of 6611 South 2700 West, West Jordan, who passed away last Thursday evening, Sept. 13 at 10:30 p.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment, ail-ment, were held Tuesday at I I :00 a.m. in the West Jordan Fourth Ward Chanel. Services were conducted by Bishop Bish-op Paul J. Steinfeldt with prelude and postlude music played by Janet Finlayson Griffin. Opening prayer was given by Sterling Marett. A ladies trio, Marinda Dimond, Joan Rose and Velda Nielsen, sang "Beyond "Be-yond the Sunset" and "Sometime Somewhere, We'll Understand," and a violin solo was played by Marlin Steirfeldt. Speakers were Grandale Finlayson, Bishop M. C. Jewkes and Bishop Steinfeldt. Closing Clos-ing prayer was offered by Ross W. Butterfield. Mrs. Miller was bom Sept. II, 1924, in Salt Lake City, a daughter daugh-ter of Thomas H. and Hortense Hartson Steadman. She married Joe L. Miller, May 25, 1946, in Ely, Nev. Active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was secretary of Primary in West Jordan Fourth Ward for the past five years. She worked for the U. S. government 1 4 years. Surviving her are her husband; mother; two brothers, Barrett T. Steadman and Robert H. Steadman, all of West Jordan. Interment was in West Jordan Cemetery with the graveside prayer pray-er being offered by President Howard How-ard W. Barben. Mrs. Ida J. Bloom,' 91, of 214 Canyon Road (60 N. State), Salt Lake City, former Bingham Canyon resident, passed away Tuesday at her home of natural causes. Mrs. Bloom was oldest living member of Zion Lutheran Church and was member of Order of Runeberg. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1070 Foothill Blvd. and interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. |
