Dorius Adams, running in op- position to Viette received 65 votes. , Mable Knudsen was elected vice president over Frances Ball with a vote of 74 to 68. Einer Sutherland was elected Secretary-Treasurer over Wesley Straup, by the largest-majority of all, the popular Senior polling 121 votes'as to 21 for Straup. Eskel Johnson,, although diminutive of stature, won over Eddie Grant as Yell Leader, 93 to 49. ,-., - In the race for Editor- of the "Cop-pcrtonian," "Cop-pcrtonian," the high school paper, Andrew An-drew Hadges won over Doris Masters 79 to 66. Joe Brisk won' over Loren Stokes, 83 to 60 in the race for business busi-ness manager of the Coppertonian.' The school was divided into two factions, the "Stephelia Didimouss" and the Pinopos party, and interest was at fever heat throughout the week just past. Wednesday morning, the candidates for the different offices gave their campaign speeches before the assembled assem-bled student body, and many fine speeches were given, the talks of the morning having considerable bearing on the outcome of the afternoon election, elec-tion, . . Although neither party was able to elect their ticket right through, the ymm fiction, UWAgedJo, $Lsm of their party elected, Viette, Sutherland, Suther-land, Hadges and Brisk being the honored four. Mable Knudsen and Eskel Johnson were the two elected from the other ticket. Each party had its own platform, the Stephelia Didimouss faction using us-ing "School Spirit, Support School Activities, Economy, a Year Book, and the Swimming Pool ; as their weapons for election.
