Northern Utah, at least north of Bountiful, has been the home o all the state champions in each high school sport so far this season Could the same area have some champion cheerleaders Mike Rodell N. t jL w Faculty Advisor Lynette Atkinson Tami Hogan By Keith Duncan and Tallymen9 This writer thinks so There is little question how good the Weber Warriors cherleading squad is this year The only question is how much better they are than other neighboring squads Weber High athletic events are a bit more colorful now-- a days, mostly because of the added enthusiasm and splendid display of performing acts, put on by die 18 cheerleaders and Tallymen Its one thing rating and comparing football and basketball teams Now how about some comparisons of cheerleaders. Weber has just simply displayed a quality cheerleading group this year and they arent the only ones that know it After each athletic contest so far, its really not difficult to sellct which unit did their job the best Their advisor, Lynette Atkinson, has to be credited with a fair amount of the credit This is her first year at o the position and she has fell in love with it She travels from her home in Garland to every contest and doesnt miss a one Ten cheerleaders make up the girls part of the squad They mclude Kathy Gibson, Melanie Moore, Vikki Oborn, Robin Russell, Bobby Jo Shunn, Shirlie Greaves, Geralyn Packer, Tami Hogan, Kristen Frazier, Nancy Shaw, Colleen, Skeen, and Heather Moyes Rallymen are Mike Rodell Jerry Bastian, Frosty Sorenson, Kurt Shupe, Daniel Wright, and Chet Van Orden. A lot more could be sa id and written hlancy Shaw Region One - Leading about this impressive group, but for the time being this deserving notice will suffice.
