BEN LOMOND BEACON, This is not just any ordinary ft . . fs Tit . . . vtS 'I I 1 8, 1 979, Page 3 Mearty Eating on a j its by Carol Shaw by Kris Ewert Plain City LDS Stake is undertaking a unique project. ..Rather than the usual roadshow competition of years past, movies are being filmed in wards throughout the Stake. Ward members are writing, directing and filming their own special fifteen minute movie to be presented at the Academy Awards for Plain City Stake on Feb. 22, .1979. Carlos and Mary Lou Hesl&p, Weeblos leaders from Plain City 1st Ward, have given the boys under their tutelage some special opportunities. It is certain that they have touched the lives of many boys for good. This past week they took their Weeblos pak to Ogden City Municipal Building to observe justice in motion. Cases of public drukeness and brawling, assualt and batter and drug abuse were being tried. Anytime folks like the Heslops give so selflessly of their time and talents to fill a position with their special kind of devotion and expertise they deserve to be and Family Relations class will be offered. Kate reports that they had a great time visiting with family and friends in California for 10 days. They drove down with their daughter, Kimberly, who is 6 2. Both Bob and Kate are from the Palos Verdes area, so they can visit both of their families in one trip. A highlight of the trip was a visit to China Town. Kate was elated, as she was able to buy a salted plum there. She said she loves them, as they remind her of her childhood in Hawau. Kate said it was warm and pleasant the whole time they were in Southern California. It was a welcome despite from the wintery Utah weather. They had a good time visiting San Diego. They went to Sea World and Oliveria Street, where there are many outdoor shops, Mexican foods and bands. They even experienced an earthquake while they were there. Clark Conde, on the other hand, reports that he recently returned to North Ogden from Preston, Idaho, touring Central America, taking slide photos to use in his foreigh language classes. He will be back in mid March. As he was bidding him farewell, Mayor McColley quiped, I know a few people who would just as soon the crocodiles got you. The LDS wards in Nortl Ogden Stake are looking forward to their annual Ward Conferences coming up soon. It wont burn in there, but it will be ready to serve when you need it. Mix together in a HEAVY pan: Vi C cocoa, 1 C sugar and a dash of salt. Stir in C milk. Stir until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. Add y2 t vanilla and 1 T butter or margarine. Serve over ice cream.
