Show May 7, 1980 Ben Comond Beacon Pa Weber High places fourth The Weber High School By Carol Jean Shaw One of the outstanding mothers of our community is Lois Erickson of Pleasant View. In fact, she was named as Weber Countys Mother of the Year in 1976. She and her husband, Eldred, have raised a large family of outstanding children, while giving thousands of hours in community and church acservice. The of the complishments Ericksons are formidable. Lois and Eldred have worked in the program for many years, and have helped more than 300 kids in 70 clubs. Lois is starting her 25th year as a leader and Eldred his 24th. Most of the time, they had several projects going at once. They worked both together and separately to lead clubs in projects such as clothing, tennis, swimming, crops, weed control, beef raising, poultry, rocks and 4-- H 4-- H home minerals, beautification, child care, health, children have won trips to the National conventions in Chicago over the years, along with scholarships for 4-- H college. Their daughter, Janet, also won the National Presidential Tray. Lois and Eldred have received several awards for their leadership as well.
