Originally, Ray Citte applied with the South Ogden City Council to build the slide on the hill just east, across the road from the Wilshire Theater. But, due to zoning conflicts, that request was denied and it was built Currently there are three behind the Grizzly Bear Pizza Restaurant. Mr. Citte says that their original' location site was the best slope for a slide, but that the actual location offers a more scenic and green background. One of the best comments on the slide come from people who realize that the water slide is about the only and best facility that co dd use the sloped hill giant water slides in Utah. One is in Orem, another is in Riverdale and the third and (by far the biggest) is in South Ogden City. But, because we were kids satisfied with moms plastic dinner plates, we didnt vision beyond our noses a way to make a flying saucer game for the world to enjoy. My brother, when he was just a squirt ( 10 ytars) upon watching my father scrape snow from the back windows of the car and then again having to constantly ask us to wipe fog from the window; determined that wires could be run through the glass in the window, heated from the cars electrical system and thus alleviate that problem. Well, you know he was just a kid and what do kids know? Few men are outwardly robbed of their ideas. They simply steal and destroy it themselves. Millions of people are mucking about every day with literally billions of little schemes or ideas of things that might be, but probably never will be, cause Thomas Edisons foresight is blinded by silly preconceived destroyers like: I cant or I dont have time or maybe tomorrow.
