This program gives kids a chance to experience the art forms and may even give them the idea that our staff of experts change , they (fid as eyes glittered while students poems were read or put to music. Third gradestudents wrote a group poem. After some explanation, Teny had students each write four imaginative fines beginning with, I wish, Then students were told to pick the line they liked best and cross out the others. They titled their group poem The y Sdioolhouse Work Song Blues Poem. A portion of the song went like this: I wish the school would blowup in red dots. . I wish the girls had magic eyes I wish the boys would have one leg. I wish the land of Calimazou had an animal called a Zombie. I wish the roof had icicles made of spaghetti. I wish the school turned into a heap of snow the color of gray. I wish the state flag was pink with red hearts and purple All-Da- to do something like that for a living too.
