Show BEN Competency tosts dated by Kris Ewert There is a new movement in educational fields to implement a functional competency test at varying times and grade levels throughout a' students educational experience to determine if the students are baseline acquiring or survival skills necessary to cope with day to day living. With most state legislatures signaling full steam ahead in this area, Utahs State legislature has hooked on to the train with the State Board of Education approving a new a provision listing requirement that local school districts provide for demonstrated competencies functional in the following basic skills: 1. Candy Child is the brownie troop leader for these lucky young girls who fall under her supervision. Candy not only has the legendary perk and charm of the brownies, she also possesses ten years experience. She was a girl scout for seven years and a leader for three. She has also participated in 100 hours of training. Yet even with all this skill she needs help. Pam Hodson acts as secretary for the troop while Joan Balderree does the phoning and coordinating of activities. Candy says that she'd really be lost without their help. The mothers are all grand to help when I ask but I need an assistant leader who will council with me, and be there every week to help. Recently the girls participated in a special four week experience. They planned dinner for their preparing their parents dinner.
