Show BEN Tid Bits byCarol Shaw by Carol Shaw the joys and frustrations of motherhood! Oh, The only people who really seem to be able to understand kids are people who dont live with any. Newlyweds, batchelors and know it all. Those of us who are in the thick of the battle tend to keep our mouths, shut a whole lot concerning child rearing theories. Just when I glumly decide that I must have the oneriest kids in the Weber School District, they do something sweet really and thoughtful. When I scold them unmercifully, they give me a piece of bubble gum and a big hug. They will accept only clothes that are just so, but then, if left to their own discression, they will wear them for days at a time, through thick and thin, mud and ashes. They will spend hours just dawdling around, and then in a burst of ambition accomplish a great deal in a few minutes. Other times they will work doggedly the whole day, just because they know the work has to be done by someone. They can make me so discouraged and angry, that if I knew who to resign to, I would be tempted, but it all disolves away, like cotton candy does when you eat it, when I hear one of them say, Thanks, Mom. I sure love you! Rao Parker, , assistant principal at Weber High, was recently honored by the 4H Clubs of Weber County.
