Carl and Gwen Barker of Washington Terrace became interested in parcourse last year and have been spearheading a committee since then to develop an exercise trail in the Terrace. This course is located overlooking Riverdale in Rohmer park at about 600 W. 5100 S. It will have 20 exercise stations along its one mile loop, but is not quite as hillv as is the WSC course. . These exercise stations include such facilities as: parallel bars, an incline for situps, balance beams, a push up station, vault bars and others. The WSC Parcourse is quite hilly and unlike regular jogging or running, participants doing all the par-cour- exercises develop flexibility, strength and balance as well as the regular endurance gained by most joggers.
