Rob Despain is a dedicated golfer, as BLHS medalist, to be a Rob says, professional golfer, you must be surrounded by golf. His home is centered on a golf course in Pleasant View. Robs daily schedule consists of going to school, and going home to hit golf balls until dark. Last year Rob traveled to St. George, where the weather was warmer, so that he wouldnt lose his swing. Rob gets 100 percent backing from his parents. He plans to make golf his career. A victory over Bountiful was gained by the Ben Lomond Young Americans team in a debate held Nov. 9. The Scots win was 80 over 60 and the contest was aired on Channel 5 Saturday, Nov. 13. The BL team consists of Laura Hebestreet, David Piz, Dave Jennings and Margaret Hyland. The season will open Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m. in Kingsbury Hall and will continue through Dec. 31. Matinees (Dec. 24, 27, 28, 29 & 30) will be held at 2 p.m. and evening performances (Dec. 22, 23, 27 , 28, 29 & 30) at 8:30 p.m.; Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, the matinee will be at noon and the evening performance at 7 one for each of the districts three high school attendance areas.
