Beaver Valley Hospital Volunteer Update Beryl Brown was guest of honor at a breakfast meeting attheTimberline Restaurant Aug. 31st with 22 volunteer members in attendance. Beryl is retiring President of the organization, serving for 8 years. She has been dedicated and diligent in her service, doing a fantastic job and ably assisted by her husband, Leonard. Many thanks were expressed to both from in-coming president Jim Sty and a tribute by Joann Grimshaw. The volunteers have been busy this summer, hosting a lovely picnic at Ponderosa for Long Term Residents and Milford visitors, also transporting residents to Milford for a luau there. This in addition to their regular duties. Scholarships have been awarded to Desiree Dalton and Tammy Green to help further their education in the health field. A successful Book Fair was held with thanks to all who participated. Another is scheduled for October 20th in the hospital lobby. Our shop is stocked with many gifts for your convenience. Come out and check us out. Remember, every dollar you spend at the gift shop goes directly to benefit the hospital - both Critical and Long Term Care.
