A uivituivti uui cioaint- - We start the new year, (the 20th for the Press) much more hopeful, and with more assurance of success, for on every hand is evidence of the wonderful resources of the Beaver Valley. The PressTvill try to keep pace with its town and community and that means, of course, that we shall continue to grow and, we hope, to i prosper. As heretofore, the Press will pursue the even tenor of its way, attending strictly to its own business avoiding, in so far as that shall be possible, all controversies, yet aiding the right, correcting the wrong, and giving to every one as square a deal as we can. And finally we wish to thank each and every one for the g'en- erous support and confidence extended to us and trust the future as well as the past will prove us worthy of all the kindness that has been bestowed upon us. Gratefully and faithfully yours, TIMOTHY BROWNIIILL. o Don't run down your own town. Be loyal to its institutions as you are to your personal interests. Don't condemn its enterprises and , at the same time withold your support and patronage, which would aid in making the enterprises a creditable success. . o There is no better test of purity and true goodness than reluctance to think evil of one's neighbors and absolute incapacity to believe an evil report about good men, except on the most trustworthy evidence.
