The nominee this year was Kathy Hendrick. Kathy is indeed phenomenal. She is actively involved in her church, community and family. Kathy is a member of the CERT Emergency Preparedness Team and LEPC, the Beaver Betterment Club, where she served as president in 200405 and is presently the secretary for the Beaver District Fireboard. e working woman at the UDSA office where she Kathy a is also a member of the UASCOE. Kathy is presently serving as a Sunday School teacher in her ward and is considered by many to be a "Grandma Extrordinaire" because she always seems to have grandchildren with her or at her home. Can there be more? Yes, in addition to all of her many duties she has a fun personality and always has a smile and her fun laugh ready for use. When asked what she thought of getting the award she laughed and said "I was surprised and thought every one was crazy." She also said that she had no idea she was getting the award, even though the cailing committee was instructed to tell everyone who was getting the award, but keep it a secret from full-tim- Kathy. Congratulations Kathy! You are extraordinary in too many ways to mention. Way to Go! Thanks also go the many Beaver Betterment members that were able to attend the award ceremony to give Kathy their support and thanks. It was a great time with great company. K - it, ' ' Stalking Theft Gas Skip Auto Theft 1 Vandalism VIN Cazlyn Riggs was awarded by UHSAA the prestigious award of Academic All State Basketball Team for the 2006-0year. Cazlyn received this award on March 24th along with nine other top raked girls from the 2A region. Cazlyn played on the Beaver High Varsity Basketball Team for 4 years. For two of those years she was the Captain for the team. This award is one of her most proud accomplishments at Beaver High School. Cazlyn is a high achiever and excels in everything she does, not only in athletics but also in academics. Cazlyn has had a GPA of 4.00 throughout high school. She is looking forward to continuing her education at UVU in the Nursing Program. Cazlyn is the daughter of Clyde and Susan Riggs. School-leving test, which they submitted to the National Geographic Society. Beaver City Devan Morgensen Awarded Eagle Call 438-245- 1. Scout Rank As part of Devan's Eagle requirements, he planned and built a handcart for use during the Beaver 4th Ward Handcart Trek in the wilds of Wyoming. Then to commemorate the sacrifice of the handcart pioneers, some of whom settled the Beaver area, Devan donated his handcart and prepared the display outside the DUP museum. Devan is the son of Randy and Nannette Morgensen. He was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on March 18th, 2007.
