Show CnJvcrsa! Microfilm PRESS TIME Ave. 24101 Utah SLC. 141 ings. While I was busy, Dorothy took the kids and a couple of the grandchildren out to the airport to watch the planes and then took them to a hamburger stand to have a snack. They were there a about noon and said burger emporium is a short distance from one of the big city's high schools. Watching the high schoolers as they came for their lunch must have been really a something. When I got home that night my five year old girl took me aside and told me that I shouldn't have any to do with them Salt Lake kids because, "They're dirty". I took a few minutes the following day and visited the stand and from what I saw, she was right. Some of those kids looked as though they had never been inside of a barber shop and had surely missed their baths for the past few months. Girls with multicolored hair from too many wearing make-u- p dye jobs which appeared to have been applied with a stick or a mop. YUCK! Next time Dr. Talbot comes down this way telling us what we should ought to do with our schools and how they ain't doing the job for our kids, I'm going to suggest to the good doctor that he get the heck to home just as fast as ever he can scamper and take himself a hard look at his Salt Lake City schools and go to work where the problem is and leave us alone down here. I know that school kids have fads and there isn't much can be done about it but if I had a kid that looked like those kids did, I'd shear it and wash it and put some clean clothes on it before I'd let it out of the house. From the look of those kids, however, I'd probably wind up in trouble when I got it cleaned up it probably wouldn't be mine no way to tell under all that dirt and hair. VOLUME 62, NUMBER Belknap Science Fair Amazes Parents The Belknap Science Fair displayed some interesting and astonishing presentations to parents (and brothers and sisters), of Belknap students. Each class gave demonstrations and explanations of the science projects they studied this year. The students did all the presentations which was proof that they knew what they were doing. The only drawback to this interesting evening was the itimje limit which permitted the viewing of only three class demonstrations. The three we witnessed were so good we're sure there were other outstanding ones we missed. A large crowd was present, which must have been rewarding for the students and teachers, while the parents comments expressed their pleasure over the project. An evening well spent and one to look forward to again. ut REMEMBER! The PTA party for Principal Walter Joseph and Mrs. Vie Davis will be held at the Belknap School, Friday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m..
