The evening was THE OUTLAWS IS COMING This is another typically hilarious escade of the 3 Stooges a new picture, being played for the first time in this area. The stars, of course, are tht) 3 Stooges with the story plot being, as the title suggests, outlaws. The story is, as always, written to give the boys a chance to show their particular type of comedy and this one is no exception. As usual their pictures are made for the entire family to enjoy. THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE Listed as a super epic, this show has many lavish sets teemmammoth ing with actors battle scenes and is produced on the grand scale. The famous historian. Will Durrant, worked as a consultant to make this movie as historically accurate as possible. It stars Sophia Lor-eSteven Boyd, Alec Guiness and James Mason. This picture has a superior rating and is classified for the whole family. I wonder if we realize tha implications of such behavior. Surely we do not intentionally rear our teenagers to have no more character or value system than this particular Beaver vandal has! It is disgraceful for such a fine community as Beaver to get a reputation of vandalism, theft, chain fights, etc., as it is getting throughout the state of Utah. Recently, three Beaver High School students stole the hubcaps from a teacher's car. Another teacher's car was bombarded with rotten eggs. Two other teachers' car tires were flattened. When one of these teachers returned to his hometown for a visit the local people, upon learning of these incidents, said "What kind of a town are you mixed up with? If I were you, I'd be for leaving a place of vandalism like that!" Is this the reputfion yr)u B?averites want other p?orle in the state to have of you? Of course it isn't! But, unless someone takes measures to stop these inexcusable acts of destruction and disrespect of property, stealing, and other spiteful and malicious acts, this is exactly the reputation your city will have. How big a step is it from scratching initials on school desks to cutting, abusing and destroying private fences, the paint on automobiels and build ings? Are your children doing these things? Someone is! It is evident that something is wrong here! Do we care where our children are and or is it what they are doing all right if they are out until 2 or 3 in the morning? If it is, then I wonder if it's really the children who are to blame. A Beaver Teacher ...
