That It is proposed to amend Article 16 of the Constitution by the addition of a section which will read as fol lows : SEC. 8. The legislator may, by appro priate legislation provide for the estab lishment of a minimum wag for women and minors and may provide for tha com fort, health, safety and general welfare Ho provision of any and all employees. of this constitution shall be construed as a limitation npon the authority of the legislature to confer npon any commission now or hereafter created such power and authority as the legislature may deem requisite to carry out the provision of this section. SECTION 1. Repealing Section t of Article 22. That it is proposed to amend Article XXII of th Constitution of Utah : it in th following particular, That Section I of Article XXII of the constitution of Utah be and tha asm is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Duty of Secrslary of State. The Secretary of Stat is hereby directed to submit the proposed amendment contained hereinto to the elector of the state at the next general election in the manner provided by law. SECTION I. Effective Date. If adopted by the elector of the Stat this amendment shall have effect on the firi day of January next succeeding a determination by the Board of State Canvassers ot the result of th election designated in Section 2 hereof.
