Show THE BEAVER PRESS, BEAVER, UTAH, FRIDAY, DECEMBER -I .... UK&ji T Pub: We desire to call attention to one fact about the Manti power situation. Not that they are now to have bright solulights, nor that they have arrived at a satisfactory tion to their power situation, nor yet to the fact that they have hooked up to the Tellur'de power oilcompany engine but to the fact that they have tried out the W. And with these circumstances facing them they purchased an oil engine. Now they are discarding the oil engine because it costs too much to operate, and there is the engine scrapped after a few years with the thousands of dollars to pay. Isn't that an exact picture of the Beaver situation? People in Beaver urging our citizens to buy a Diesel engine costing approximately .$33,000. Manti has tried it and found it inefficient and are now discarding it. Can't we profit by such an experience when the conditions are so very similar? If Beaver persists in the purchase of a Diesel engine, no doubt but that one perfectly good one can now be purchased from the city of Manti and for considerable less than $33,000, seeing that they only paid $18,000 for it in the first place! But it is to be hoped that whatever our appointed officials do, that due investigation and consideration of the Manti situation be given. Let's profit if possible by their previous experience. 10:11 vvrl f'ilill . . lose. been more than 50 years since the holder of a policy in a legal reserve life insurance company sustained a loss on his holding. During the open hunting season for deer an analysis of the contents of deer stomachs was made by Forest Officers in the vicinity of Big Flat. Two deer killed by hunters were examined near the bead of the South Fork or City Creek at an elevation of about 9,500 feet. Their stomachs contained between 65 and 75'; needles and buds off the Alpine fir, 15'; dry aspen leaves, between 5 and 10 Lupine, about l'c grass. Deer killed at Gunsite had aspen leaves, mountain mahogany, lupine, tmd grass. This deer had evidently come from the low ranges as there were no mahogany within 2 or 3 miles from the place killed. s ?m $42S89 up '.
