Behind the scenes in Beaver: On March 13 because of severe weather, we had over 100 stranded people without a place to go. President Robinson of the LDS church, Craig Wright and Search and Rescue, and Beaver County sheriffs found the travelers a place to stay at the church. Mitch Gillins's family and Mike's Foodtown provided a beautiful breakfast Sunday morning. Thank you for a job well done. Ran across this the other day and found it comical: President Obama and Vice President Biden were reviewing ways to save money in the West, and they were astonished at the number of cattle guards v/e have. After further review, President Obama thought with such a high number of cattle guards, we could cut the work force by 50 percent. Vice President Biden added that they should send the 50 percent left to a six month special training. |
