Beaver City Council The Beaver City Council met at 4:00 p.m. in a regular session at the Beaver City Hal! on March 9,2010. The following members of the Council were present: Mayor Mark Yardley, Council Members Connie Fails, Chris Smith, Craig Wright, Gary Brown, and Lynn Harris. Also, present were City Manager, Brent Blackner and City Recorder, Anona Yardley. The Opening Ceremony of a invocation, thought, and Pledge of Allegiance was cond u c t e d by Council Member Smith. Troop 321 presented the colors and conducted the flag ceremony. CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APPROVED: Minutes of the previous regular council meetings of February 23, 2010 were presented. Council Member Brown moved and Council Member Wright seconded the minutes be approved. Ail voted in favor of the motion. None opposed. . /• BILLS APPROVAL: Bills were presented and reviewed by the City Council. Council Member Brown moved and Council Member Fails seconded the bills be approved. All voted in favor, < None Opposed. Fax: 435-438-8804 with a 2009 recap of her services. Officer Carroll helped the Council understand the daily concerns the inadequate shelter facilities cause her. She needs volunteers to help with the concerns of the shelter. Discussion followed on the future of an animal shelter. Mrs. Carroll is a Category 2 officer. Golf Course - Jack Erwia Mr. Jack Erwig met with the Council to discuss the opening of the golf.course. He discussed the projects of extending and improving the cart path and painting the cart shed. Painting and maintenance concerns were discussed. Weather will be a determining factor to the timing of the maintenance and opening. There was a discussion on fencing around the race track. The club house needs a new counter top. Mr. Erwlg dis' cussed his time and the maintenance at the golf course. A new restroom and a pavilion was discussed at the golf course and race track. Prices were not raised this year to encourage players to-utilize the course'. WORK MEETING - Review Ordinances, Budget Review, Financial Statements: Manager Blackner explained the Financial Statement for the end of February, 2010 for the Council's review. He reviewed the current budget status and the expenses compared to the revenues. Beaver City Triyia - An information campaign will be starting soon. It will appear in the newspapers twice a morith for a year. Details will be forthcoming. BLM Seeks Nominations For Utah's Resource Advisory Council Utah residents interested in jthe management and conservation of public lands have an opportunity to become directly involved through participation on the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Resource Advisory Council (RAC). Council members provide advice and recommendations to the BLM concerning the use and management of 22 million acres of public land in Utah.
