Reservations need to be made. Council Members Smith, Draper, Roberts, Mayor Foster and Manager Blackner will be there. Airport runway crack seal bids will be opened Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m in the Beaver City Hall. The Ball Park Restrooms were vandalized. Beaver City wllf offer a reward for information leading to arrests. Mayor Foster will write a letter to the editor about the vandalism. Beaver City Clean-up will be May 18th. A notice will be put in the newspaper. No trash should be put on streets until the week before. Vehicles need to be moved by private business. The contract with Dennis Johnson for maintenance on TV Hill is ready to be signed. Mr. Johnson will need to keep a log of visits and need to keep Beaver City licenses up to date. He will be paid $700/month. Each Council Member will need a copy to sign. The restricted funds Public Hearing needs to be scheduled for the April 14th meeting. Mayor Foster suggested a sealing of the amount to be transferred. These funds are needed to do major maintenance on the Opera House, Library, and Swimming Pool. Estimates will be needed so a concrete figure is available. Council Member Draper: Left at dinner break and returned at 8:08 p.m. Fire Extinguisher box has no glass in the Opera House. Council Member Roberts: The Race Track Extension project is progressing. The City Attorney has a contract to be signed for this project.. The water valves have been rjipved. The sod will be put back down for the goif course. The trees on the East side of the ball park are not doing well. Council Member Fails: The signs on City property at 100 East and 200 North need to be removed. The clean up tetter Is writfen. The Council thanks the. Mayors Youth Council for picking up trash on 600 North on 400 West. I Suggestions were made for other projects for the Youth Council: replace the wood chips around the trees down Main Street to rock or pea gravel. Decorative grates were also suggested after a discussion about liability issues. After discussion, " a simple clean-out around the trees was suggested. Beaver's Best will be done by the Beautification Committee. A letter needs to be written to Beaver Bishops to see if there are any service projects within their ward boundaries that need to be done. The Committee Is working on new Christmas Decorations for the park. The Big Santa Clause and Snowman can be placed on the triangle. They want to get new decorations in town. the north Cemetery entry signs are being worked on. Beaver City Banner is bent by Wells Fargo. The curb/ gutters will be cleaned in approximately 3 weeks. Council Member Wright: , A meeting with the Fire Department, City and County, and home owners in the Grove was suggested to come up with a solution to the problem of water lines and fire protection. Mayor Foster: COG Meeting is on Thursday. Police protection within the City needs to be discussed at this meeting. The Hospital Board meeting is on Wednesday. \ . Council was reminded that personnel policy changes should be brought before the employee committee, v V The Council adjourned for a dinner break at 5:45 p.m. YARDLEY CONSTRUCTION ROWLAND YARDLEY: AT 7:05 p.m. the Council met with Rowland Yardley of Yardley Construction. Beaver City Employees Shaun Limb, and David Martin, met with the Council. Danny Yardley was also present. Mr. Yardley addressed the Council about past bills and past work performed by Yardley Construction. He discussed a negotiated contract with Beaver Ctty for hauling dirt to the Quadplex. Council -members asked questions of Mr. Yardley. Shaun Limb told about the loads that he had hauled. David Martin was on the Cat and loader. Yardley Construction has donated much of soil and personal time to the Quadplex project. Council Member Roberts moved and Council Member Wright seconded to pay Yardley Construction the bills owed for the Ball park project. All voted in favor. • The bills need to be signed when they are paid In full. BUDGET REVIEW - FY 2008/2009: Manager' Blackner presented the financial statement of the general fund. He explained the process of transferring funds to the Council and the budgeting process. He will be keeping the Council abreast of the Budget. Council Member Wright moved and Council Member Smith seconded to adjourn the meeting. All voted In favor.
