Show MEFORD AND BEAVER PLAY 6-6 TIE IN BIG ARMISTICE DAY GAME AT BEAVER Milford 6 Beaver 6 That is how the score looked at the end of the bitterly contested Armistice Armis-tice Day game at Beaver yesterday. The game started yesterday a little lit-tle slow and it seemed that Beaver had things coming its own way. A touchdown was made by Beaver at the beginning of the second quarter. At the beginning of the second half the Milford boys showed considerable consid-erable improvement and made some end runs and passes for good gains. An end run by Max Root brought the ball to within a few feet of the goal line and in the next play it was taken over. Neither team was able to convert Lhe extra point after goal, and the .score remained 6-6 to the end of the game, though Milford came near to scoring again in the last quarter. Yesterday's game completed the schedule of the two Beaver county schools.. 'This is lhe first year these school?) have competed under the reg- ulations of the state High School Athletic Ath-letic association. Both schools lost to Delta and Hirickly, which schools have played other years. r , . . Milford won from Fillmore in its first game and- Beaver tied Fillmore in its first, the scores being .6-0 ;and 0-0. The game today gives Milford third position in its divison and ties Beaver and Fillmore for the cellar position;' Football has not been very well understood un-derstood in this section, but there is a lot of enthusiasm beginning to show itself and it appears that it is to become a real popular sport. A large number of Milford fans, including a delegation from the Lions c'ub, witnessed yesterday's game, and did effective 'rooting for the home team.
